Mt. Carmel Community Baptist Church stands as a beacon of faith in Columbus, Ohio. We are a place of prayer, peace, and joy to all who join us. Our community is richly diverse, with people of different ages and backgrounds coming together to worship and serve together. We welcome all individuals seeking God’s love and our doors are open to every soul seeking to welcome Jesus into their heart. Glorifying Christ through the fulfillment of the Great Commission and the Great Commandment.

District Overseer Leon Rodgers
Pastor Leon E. Rodgers was born in Columbus, Ohio to the late Deacon Bennie Rodgers and mother Claudia Rodgers. Pastor Rodgers is the second son of four and was raised in Columbus. He is married to Sister Alison (Pelham) and is the father of two adult children Leon II and Alicia and one grandson, Jajuan.
Pastor Rodgers was ordained in 1999 by the late Pastor Emmett Moore, Jr. of the Seventh Avenue Community Baptist Church of Columbus.
Pastor Rodgers was called to lead the Mount Carmel Community Baptist Church in 2002.
In 2018, Pastor Rodgers was appointed as District Overseer for the Columbus District of Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship International.

Mt. Carmel Community Baptist Church, has established a network of programs directed toward meaningful community outreach. The ministries, collaborations, and partnerships, under the auspices of the Church, are vital components of the Mt. Carmel CARES initiative.
CARES, is an acronym for
Community Action, Response, Empowerment and Service.
This naming is representative of the efforts to help support and sustain vulnerable populations in the Columbus community. Specific ministries and collaborations include:
· Jesus’ Helping Hands Ministry
This is a collaboration with Full Gospel Baptist Church Fellowship, Columbus District, that provides material assistance to our congregations and the local community. Specific responses include distribution of clothing and personal products.
· Celebrate One
This is a local partnership with the City of Columbus, with the following objective: To identify pregnant women in targeted neighborhoods to promote early entry into prenatal care and to provide pregnancy support, resources and programs.
· Agape Ministry
This is a Mount Carmel ministry that is open to all youth and young adults in the church and local community. The mission of the Agape Ministry is to promote the spiritual and developmental growth of youth, through Christian programming and activities.
